Bengal Saree Tradition

Jamdani – it's light and transparent weave sarees. A variety of colors and patterns are its unique features. The most popular styles are floral, tribal, geometric, and peacock. Jamdani is especially welcome in transparent woven cotton sarees.
Shantipuri - "Shaantipuri" saree is named after the small village "Shaantipur" in the Nadia district of West Bengal. These sarees have very fine soft and smooth textures.
Garad Silk- These sarees are famous for pooja, festivals, or any auspicious occasion. They usually have a plain red border against a natural ground interspersed with white, cream, and white. These sarees are made with self-lace work to give them grace.
